LATERAL LINE INSPECTION

Pipetek offers lateral inspections for sewer lines connecting the residence or business to the main sewer system. These inspections check for blockages or cross boring and can be performed without intrusion via entering the sewer from the mainline, advancing up the mainline, and then launching the camera head up into the lateral. This process and the equipment we use allows for superior efficiency and quality. In situations where this is not possible, our inspection trucks are equipped with push camera systems to inspect the lateral from inside the home. In addition, Pipetek also offers both lateral cleaning and laser measurement. Both of which can be vital in the lateral lining process.

UTILITY LOCATING SERVICES

All of our sewer inspection equipment features sonar with a variety of frequencies to use an above ground receiver/locator device inspecting both mainline and lateral sewers — in all shapes, sizes, types and depths. During inspections, the equipment provides depth readings for data analytics.

In addition we have the ability to locate and detect buried manhole covers, gas lines, water lines, valve or curb boxes, shut-off valves, iron pipe joints, drain grates, buried utility lines, and much more.

360° inspections

Pipetek offers the high-tech, progressive, PANORAMO technology for 360° inspections of both mainline pipes and manholes. The PANORAMO system provides engineers and municipalities with highly comprehensive data, while increasing productivity and changing the way we inspect our underground infrastructure. With the PANORAMO 360° inspection system, we can inspect more than twice as much pipe per day, and increase image resolution six times over traditional CCTV.

LASER PROFILING

Pipetek utilizes a Laser Profiler system providing extremely accurate pipeline measurements. The equipment projects a laser ring on the pipe wall which is recorded for data analysis. Laser profiling is perfect for testing deflection or erosion in new and old pipes.  Benefits of laser profiling:

Structural Pipe Integrity Analysis
1 million measurements every 4 minutes
6 inch to 160 inch (15.25 cm to 406.50cm) in diameter
Supports various pipe shapes
Built-in observations report / Flat, Un-Folded Report
Automatic debris calculator
Exports to standard modeling formats

Verification and Measurement of:
Ovality, Corrosion, Material Loss, Diameter, Build-up, Sediment Depth and Life Expectancy

MANHOLE INSPECTION

Pipetek has the ability to inspect a variety of buried structures. Manholes, duct boxes, storm drains, and any other underground chamber can be inspected quickly and safely with our equipment.  Our MACP certified staff can provide you with Level 1 or Level 2 MACP7 surveys and reports.

The video from a conventional pole camera only shows the section of view saved at the time of filming.  Our equipment integrates with viewer software to provide an all-round inspection of the manhole. One can stop at any position in the manhole, do a 360° pan, zoom and take snapshots. Simultaneously, an unfolded view of the manhole can be generated. This provides a quick overview of the condition of the structure and enables the user to measure objects on the manhole walls.

SEWER CLEANING

Pipetek offers sewer, pipe and drain cleaning for a wide variety of pipes.  With our experienced operators -  no matter the size, shape, or type of pipe - we can meet your project's needs.  We work in both sanitary and storm sewers, while cleaning the catch basins during the process.

Our fleet consists of newer model, high quality sewer cleaners that can work at a variety of pressure and water flow.  We can also utilize a wide variety of sewer nozzles to tackle all jobs - these include, but are not limited to: drain cleaning, sewer cleaning, root cutting, reaming and more.

Pipetek is licensed and certified to apply RootX and GreaseX products in both sanitary and storm sewers. These products reduce sewer overflows and aid in restoring pipe flow capacity by effectively eliminating root and grease blockages while inhibiting future root growth and grease buildup. This is a cost-effective and time saving method to solving root and grease problems.

GIS Integration & GPS Mapping

Pipetek has the ability to integrate our inspections with any GIS software program. Pipetek also offers high accuracy, GPS mapping services to help aid in the GIS integration and mapping of any utility system.

  • GPS Mapping using high-accuracy survey devices that allow us to collect points and map out utilities such as manholes, catch basins, clean outs, water valves, curb stops, etc.

  • GPS points can be collected and imported into a clients GIS software to help with the mapping of utility systems.

  • GIS information can then be input into our pipe survey platforms which allows our inspectors to select pipes to inspect from the displayed map within the survey form.

  • Surveyed pipes are highlighted on the map to help show the inspector what pipes have been completed.

  • GIS Integration also gives us the ability to export pipe survey details such as shape files of new pipes, pipes with specific defect types, or pipes with selected grades or score values.

  • ESRI ArcMap gives users the ability to view survey details, videos, pictures, or reports of specific pipes within the maps network.

CIPP Spot Liners

Pipetek installs trenchless CIPP spot repairs in sanitary and storm sewers ranging in diameter of 6” to 72” (15.25cm to 183cm). These cured-in-place (CIPP) liners offer a trenchless (No-Dig) pipe rehabilitation option to restore the structural integrity of damaged pipes.

Sport lines range in length from 24” to 48” (61cm to 122cm) but can be installed in conjunction for a longer repair. These are ideal for patching deteriorated pipe, offset joints, abandoned lateral connections, and sources of infiltration. With flow-through packers short cure times, Pipetek can install these repairs without the use of bypass or risking backups.

EXPLOSION PROOF

We can safely inspect sewers where Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are present. Pipetek Infrastructure Services offers a full line of explosion-proof video inspection services for petrochemical and other industries. All equipment used is listed and labeled for explosion- proof operations. Using flame path technology and inert gas pressurization, we are able to safely inspect pipelines with Class 1, Division 1, Group C & D atmospheres and ATEX Zone 1 and 2.

Explosion-Proof Camera Mounted Tractors
Pipetek uses a wide range of camera transports to inspect pipelines and confined spaces that require an explosion-proof rating. These include tractors, referred to as crawlers, with variable speed controllers. Our explosion-proof video cameras are mounted on specially designed transports that allow for the thorough and safe inspection of jet fuel lines, natural gas pipelines, oil and hydrocarbon transmission lines, or any other pipeline with explosive atmospheres. All cameras produce sharp, full color, quality images

Our larger crawlers are steerable and are used in pipelines in which a person cannot enter. The smaller crawlers are capable of traveling and inspecting up to 1,000 linear feet (305m) of pipeline from a single entry point, even identifying oil sheens on water.

Pan & Tilt Camera Systems
The operator points the camera and lighting assembly at the area to be inspected and can then pan, as well as rotate, the camera head a full 360 degrees. These important features enable us to provide a very detailed inspection of interior pipe walls, borehole and drilled shaft walls, or any other confined area. The resolution and image quality of our cameras is the best in the industry.

Mini-Cam Inspections
Pipetek operators use push rod, mini-cameras to inspect small diameter pipelines. Pipelines from 2 inches (5cm) up to 500 feet (152.5m) in length can be inspected with these camera systems. Using specialized mini-cams we can inspect 1 inch (2.54cm) to 8 inch (20.32cm) pipe.

Common uses are jet fuel transmission lines, gas pipelines, propane storage caverns, boreholes, and others. This system uses a self-upright positioning camera. This feature ensures the picture always appears upright on the screen even if the camera should flip over.
